The St Peter & St James Hospice care for patients from Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Lewes, Uckfield and the surrounding villages and last year, provided care for more than 600 patients and their families. All of the Hospice services are free of charge but fundraising is key for them as they receive less than 14% of their funding from the Government.
St Peter & St James needs to raise £2.6m each year and relies on 86% of its funding coming from the community. The Hospice always needs support and donations are welcomed at all times.
Andy James, UK CEO of 1ST CENTRAL, said, “We are delighted to have exceeded our goal of £40,000. The Hospice makes a real difference to the people that use its facilities and we hope the money raised will support them in continuing their great work in the years to come.”
