BHOS (Brighton and Hove Operatic Society) is Brighton and Hove’s oldest not for profit theatre company. Founded in 1886, they are passionate about producing excellent theatrical projects, providing opportunities for local performers and supporting the community. Their mission is to produce quality productions that build on that history whilst contributing to the community.
BHOS loves Brighton & Hove and its cultural diversity, but for many of the city’s residents, a trip to the theatre is not financially or physically possible. They want to collaborate with like-minded others for a community who can enjoy the magic of the theatre together – whatever their individual situation.
Their next production is ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ at The Old Market, Hove from 4th – 8th December.
BHOS are holding a performance at 4pm on Friday 7th December which we hope to fill with an audience made up from beneficiaries of local charities, and who get to see the show for free as part of their ‘Sit Together’ Campaign.
Local businesses are being given the opportunity to sponsor tickets that will be given to charities as part of a new ‘Pay it Forward’ scheme. Every £20 raised means BHOS can give out another free ticket
