Helen Pankhurst will be participating in an afternoon organised by Uni’d Events dedicated to celebrating women’s accomplishments over the years.
Uni’d Events is a group of International Event Management students at the University of Brighton who have a passion for events.

Helen is the great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst and granddaughter of Sylvia Pankhurst, who were both leaders in the British suffragette movement. Helen is also a women’s rights activist and author, giving a talk on her latest book Deeds Not Words: the story of women’s rights then and now. Helen’s latest book will be available to purchase at the event which she will be happy to sign.
There will also be a combination of singers and dance performances from the Vocal Repertoire, and Lake Academy, a dance school based in Seaford. These school pupils shall be interpreting their own take on inspirational women.
Refreshments will be available during the interval with fresh cakes baked by the Casbar. Drinks will be served in mugs at the venue to avoid plastic waste.
