The leading UK-wide children’s charity Action Medical Research, based in Sussex, has unveiled its first ever animated e-card created in-house by its communications team.
The short animated clip, which features two robins who deliver a pair of booties to a family with a baby at Christmas, can be sent to any number of email addresses; users are asked to make a donation to the charity, which funds much-needed research to help sick and disabled babies and children.
Action Medical Research have been funding medical breakthroughs since we began in 1952 like the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine – helping to save thousands of children’s lives and change many more.
The cute concept for the e-card was devised by staff in the communications department who then created the animation and music.
“We’re really pleased to be able to offer supporters a Christmas e-card this year,” says Sarah Moss, Director of Communications.
“We wanted a story which would reflect our work to make a difference for sick babies and children. We hope that people will share this with friends and family and will consider making a donation as they send it.”
