Community Works connects businesses, professionals and people who want to share their skills and experience with charities and causes.
We have launched our mentoring programme for this year and are seeking mentors to take part who will work with charity leaders from Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing.
Our programme provides one to one support to anyone who is working or volunteering in voluntary and community organisations, from CEOs and people with management responsibilities to trustees, management committee members and people leading their organisation but might not have the title of leader.
Leaders in the voluntary and community sector have many different roles and face many different issues. However, they often have one thing in common; that being a leader can be a lonely place.
We match people with an experienced volunteer mentor who will work with a mentee to improve practice, develop leadership skills and tackle challenging change management issues. This will help to strengthen individual leadership and capacity-build community organisations so they can last long in to the future.
