The partnership was launched back in 2013 with a signature necklace featuring the charity’s rocking horse logo, handmade by the award-winning team of silversmiths from the boutique. They have recently created a new petite version of the necklace as well as stud earrings; both available in three types of metal with prices starting at £20. The jewellery range has previously received support from celebrities, including Zoe Ball, Lauren Laverne and Dermot O’Leary, who have tweeted their endorsement for the charity collection.
Louise Bartha, Individual Giving and Campaigns Manager at Rockinghorse, added: “We are so pleased with the continued support from Alice and the team at Posh Totty Designs, and the incredible fundraising they have achieved so far. The addition of two new designs to the Rockinghorse collection is fantastic and we are really proud of the partnership.”
Posh Totty Designs now offers a whole range of Rockinghorse-inspired jewellery, including a bracelet, cufflinks, tie pin and a christening bangle, with 100% of the profits donated to the charity. To date, they have raised £6,590 to help make life better for sick children in Sussex.
Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) and a vital support of the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU) in Brighton and its sister site, the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) in Haywards Heath. The charity raises money for items necessary for every child’s treatment; from furnishings and toys for the wards through to cutting-edge diagnostic machines and life-saving medical equipment. They strive to give children access to the very best medical care and attention in surroundings that are better suited to their needs.
Alice River-Cripps, founder of Posh Totty Designs, says: “Rockinghorse is a charity close to many parents’ hearts in the Sussex area. As a parent who has had sick children who have been cared for in the TMBU and the Alex, I was moved to help this very worthy cause. Rockinghorse needs the support of the local community to help the Alex and TMBU to continue to provide amazing care for children in the Sussex area, and we are thrilled to be part of that.
“We’re delighted to celebrate two years of working together by creating two beautiful new designs. We hope our customers will love them as much as we do, and raise even more funds for the vital work the Rockinghorse charity does.”
