‘Santa Dash’ is coming to town

The Santa Dash is back on Saturday 12 December and the children’s charity Rockinghorse is looking for groups and individuals to take part in the 5k fun run to help raise vital funds this Christmas.

Runners will be supported by a Rockinghorse cheering team as they take on the seafront dressed in a full Santa suit. Places cost £20, which include the Santa Suit and a finishing medal, with a minimum sponsorship of £50 per person.Santa Dash Image

All funds raised will go towards special festive projects at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) in Brighton, including a Toy Box Appeal to provide poorly babies, children and teenagers with presents this Christmas.

Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) and a vital support of the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU) in Brighton. They raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment, whilst also ensuring that children are treated in an environment better suited to their needs.

The Brighton-based charity has been supporting children for nearly 50 years and does not receive any government funding and relies on the generous support of individuals, community groups, companies and trusts.
