On Sunday 1st July 2018 from 2-5pm the Dolphin Leisure Centre in Haywards Heath will host DiversFest UK.
This remarkable children’s music event has been organised by mum of two Linsey Sim to raise money for two local charities; Kangaroos who run activities and events for children with additional needs and their families, and Chailey Heritage Foundation which provides education and care to young people with complex needs.
Talented musical duo Singing Hands, who use Makaton in their performances and specialise in delivering inclusive shows, will be headlining with lots of other fun activities, including a raffle, “Pimp my Wheelchair”, face painting and bouncy castle.
Although aimed at preschool and primary age children, with and without disabilities, the event will be open and inclusive to all who wish to come.
Linsey says “I strongly believe that the best way to combat bullying and raise the leaders of our future is to break down the barriers of ignorance at an early age and teach our children to celebrate similarities rather than attack differences.
“I would love for this event to present an opportunity for forward thinking parents to bring their kids, with or without disabilities, and unite together in one, fun packed and memorable afternoon.”
DiversiFest UK is a not for profit organisation run entirely by volunteers, with the sole purpose of arranging this event. There are a host of additional surprises ready to go but DiversiFest UK are looking for corporate sponsorship to make this event a success and maximise the fundraising potential.
Anyone interested can contact DiversiFest UK by emailing email@example.com to find out how to be a sponsor.
