Friends of Sussex Hospices (FSH) has thanked its corporate supporters for helping to raise and distribute £400k to 12 hospices in 2017.
Friends of Sussex Hospices (FSH) champions and raises funds for the 12 hospice care providers that serve the adults and children of Sussex. The charity is run entirely by volunteers and has to date distributed over £2 million.
Chair Kathy Gore OBE invited some of FSH’s key business supporters and individuals to a “thank you” evening at her home near Uckfield, Sussex, earlier this month, on 15th Feburary. She gave a break-down of how the money had been raised and said the charity was on track to raise a similar figure this year.
Guests included Katie Derham, Patron of St Peter & St James Hospice in North Chailey and star of Strictly Come Dancing; Sara Stonor, Vice Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex; and Maureen Chowen, High Sheriff of East Sussex and Trustee of Chestnut Tree House.
