Kemp Town Carnival & Rockinghorse get baking with Brighton businesses

A family-friendly cake bake event in support of Kemp Town Carnival 2016 and the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity will take place on 16th April at St George’s Church from 10am – 4pm with prizes donated from local businesses.

Performances and workshops will be running throughout the day from Capoeira Amazonas Arts, Willowisp Creative Arts and music from Euphoria Steel Pan Band and The Dulcetones acapella choir alongside Tommy Tickle as ‘Bernie Cakes’ and face painting.

There will also be a chance for budding Great British Bake Off wannabes to beat the competition and be crowned Kemp Town Carnival Baker of the year.

All cakes are welcome; from dairy-free to Dundee, Marble to Madeira… children under 14 are also invited to enter the Carnival Cupcake Competition. Entries will be judged by a panel of cake fanatics and winners will take home some fabulous prizes sourced from local Brighton & Hove businesses.Kemptown Carnival Cake Bake

50p of each slice will go to the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, supporting the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.

Participants will be asked to donate £3 (adults) or £1 (under 14s) on the day to enter. Local traders can enter or donate a cake to be sold.
