On Thursday 9 March 2017, Chestnut Tree House, the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, will hold its third biannual Business Awards at South Lodge Hotel near Horsham.
Created to recognise and reward the many businesses and individual employees who have been outstanding in their support of Chestnut Tree House, the Awards will be judged by an expert panel and cover eight different categories, including Outstanding Individual Fundraiser, Most Innovative Fundraising Idea, Outstanding Voluntary Project, and Outstanding Corporate Supporter.
Terrina Barnes, Corporate Fundraising Manager for Chestnut Tree House said, “We need to raise a staggering £6,850 per day to provide all our care services – both at the hospice and out in the community across Sussex and South East Hampshire – for children with life-shortening illnesses and their families. With less than 7% of our funding coming from central government, we are almost entirely dependent on the generosity of local businesses and individuals helping us to raise the funds we need to continue providing our specialist care.
“We are so grateful to the many businesses and their employees who support us, and these awards are our way of thanking them and giving something back. We are inviting them to nominate themselves, or name individuals in their organisations who have put in extraordinary effort to help us in so many ways.”
Business and individuals have until Friday 3 February to submit their nominations. For more information, please visit www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk/businessawards or call the Fundraising Team on 01903 871849.
