Sexual Violence Support Organisation Releases New Play for Fringe

Mankind is the premier support organisation for men in Sussex who have experienced any form of sexual violence.

Brighton in May is festival time and we are happy to announce that this year we are bringing back our award winning play GROOMED for a one week run at the Fringe Festival.  This amazing play, written by a previous Mankind client, Patrick Sandford, premiered in 2016, winning 3 awards.  It is a thoughtful piece that handles a difficult subject in a sensitive way.

The Mankind Programme

We offer men the opportunity to work through a series of steps to acknowledge and come to terms with what has happened to them.  Launched in 2017, independent analysis of this programme, compared to our previous offer, reveals:

1. A significant rise in the proportion of clients whose levels of distress have reliably improved
2. A significant reduction in the proportion of clients with unplanned endings
3. A 35% reduction in the average number of sessions used by clients

Find out more about our Programme here. Please download our poster hereand display in your public area to let your male clients know we exist. Please also find our agency leaflet here.

Help us to help others

As you know, we are a charity and have to work hard to raise the funds to deliver our services.  The reality is that these funds are getting less and less, so we want to try a new way of delivering our much needed services through a new campaign.  We want to create a Community Owned Organisation that puts the balance of power back in the local community and enables men who have experienced sexual abuse to access the right service at the right time for them.

It would be great to get your support for this campaign, there is even a chance to win one of three £1,000 prizes.
