New Chair Appointed by Brighton and Hove Impetus

Brighton and Hove Impetus, the charity that exists to tackle loneliness and social isolation, has today announced the appointment of Natalie Orringe as Chair of Trustees. Natalie takes over from Steve Hare, former Chair and Chief Executive of Age UK East Sussex. 

Natalie was a trustee of Impetus for four years prior to becoming Chair. Alongside her voluntary experience, she holds over 18 years’ award winning experience in marketing working for organisations across the public and private sector including for charities Age UK, Community Foundations UK and The Careers and Enterprise Company.  

Commenting on the appointment, Jo Crease, Chief Executive of Brighton and Hove Impetus said: “I am delighted to confirm Natalie as our new Chair. She brings a depth of experience that will support us to do even more to create connections that directly help people and strengthen our communities. We do this through the hard work of all of our volunteers and I would like particularly to thank our outgoing chair Steve Hare for his significant contribution to our success.”

Natalie Orringe, Chair of Brighton and Hove Impetus said: “As a Brighton resident I am aware that far too many people in our city suffer chronic loneliness and isolation. This is why Impetus and the direct action of its 450 volunteers is so vital. I am delighted to be taking on the role of Chair and working together with the talented team and our network to help even more people into the future.”
