Pawfect’ Day for Pestalozzi Dog Dawdle

Sedlescombe based charity Pestalozzi opened up their grounds last weekend to dogs and their owners, for their second annual dog dawdle. The walk was a great success, bringing together local dog walkers and nature lovers and giving participants an exclusive opportunity to see the beautiful estate of the Pestalozzi Village. Attendees experienced a beautiful nature ramble in the glorious sunshine followed by some well-deserved tea and cake and a superb raffle with lots of doggie-related prizes.

Sedlescombe resident and dog owner, Juanita Gouws, commented “It was a really lovely day and it was great to see so many people attending this year. As a Pestalozzi supporter myself, it’s always nice to see new faces getting involved with these charity events, helping to spread the word about Pestalozzi and raise money for a great cause.”

With around 50 walkers attending, the event managed to raise nearly £200 for the charity which enables young people from nine different countries to complete their secondary education.

“The event was really popular and we have had lots of requests to host another walk soon.” said Fundraising Officer James Bacon. He added “We are very grateful for the support that we received particularly from Pets at Home and Jazzy Dogs who kindly donated raffle prizes.”
