Local Aphasia charity SayAphasia has celebrated it’s first birthday, after being set up in November 2016 to support people in Brighton and Hove who have Aphasia.
SayAphasia runs drop in sessions every Friday to provide support to those with the condition. During these sessions visiting speakers give talks and often musicians perform as well. The monthly art class they run is also popular.
They have also held numerous events to raise awareness of Aphasia and have exciting new projects planned for next year.
Chair and founder Colin Lyall has said “We are so pleased with how successful it has become. Our drop-in every Friday is a place filled with chat and laughter, somewhere everyone feels at ease!”
