At the breakfast event held at Wards Hotel in Folkestone, Kent businesses will learn about the innovative work being done by the Folkestone Academy Careers Programme and the importance of developing links with a range of community organisations and employers to provide, students with a broad range of opportunities and experiences and employers, with the most rounded and fully prepared employees.
Josephine McCartney, Chief Executive, Kent Community Foundation, volunteers as an Enterprise Adviser, for the Enterprise Adviser Network, to support Careers Adviser’s in schools across Kent and Medway. As an Enterprise Adviser she uses her business experience and professional networks to help develop and implement an effective strategy that puts opportunities with local employers at the heart of a young person’s education. By sponsoring this business breakfast, McCartney hopes she will able to connect and engage more businesses with careers advice programmes throughout the county.
Josephine McCartney, Chief Executive, Kent Community Foundation comments,
