The Time 2 Give Ball, which takes place for the third year running in April, has chosen its ten beneficiary charities which will be supported on the night and throughout 2017 with volunteers.
In a change to normal gala dinners and auction events, the Time 2 Give ball asks its guests to bid for brilliant prizes with their TIME rather than with their MONEY. The hours collected on the evening are then cleverly distributed out to all of the charities who have applied for volunteer support.
In just 3 years, applications from charities in Brighton and Hove have trebled in number, and organisers are thrilled that the idea is catching on.
“Time is the new money” said Founder of the event Gail Bainbridge.
The ten lucky charities who will be supported by this years’ event are:
Brighton City Partnership for Education
Headway East Sussex
Ronald McDonald House
The Stroke Association
Time 2 Give was born out of a leadership course that Gail Bainbridge from accountancy firm Bainbridge and Lewis, which she attended in 2014/15.
“As part of the course we were asked to think of a project that would benefit our community. Brighton & Hove is a bursting with entrepreneurial small businesses which makes the city an exciting place to do business. As a local business owner myself I’ve always found it really important for me to give back to the local community. I came up with the idea for Time 2 Give to help build connections between small businesses and local charity and community projects.
The Time 2 Give ball takes place on Thursday, 6 April 2017 at The Grand hotel, in Brighton. As well as the Time Auction there’ll be a three course dinner, dancing into the night and wonderful hosts Guy Lloyd and Sophie Corbett.
Early bird tickets are £55.00 until February 28th.
