Between May 1st and the end of June, Tesco customers can support two key Sussex Wildlife Trust marine programmes, every time they shop. You can cast your vote by placing the blue token you get at the check-out in the Sussex Wildlife Trust ‘Bags of Help’ box.
In Bognor stores, you can vote to protect local marine wildlife by supporting our beach clean programme. This is where we organise teams of local volunteers to remove plastic and other litter from the beaches, and also conduct litter surveys, which feed into the Marine Conservation Society’s Beach Watch dataset .
In Lewes, Seaford, Peacehaven and Rottingdean stores, you can help us teach local children about the importance of taking care of marine wildlife by supporting our Wild Beach programme. Sussex Wildlife Trust’s experienced marine education team run Wild Beach sessions along the coastline at different times of the year so children can see at first-hand how the beach changes during different seasons. Your vote for Wild Beach will help us reach children who may not otherwise get the chance to visit or learn about the sea and marine wildlife.
